After a day filled with flowers and beautiful sights, we headed to Gaomei Wetlands to catch the sunset. 🌅 The wide-open sky, wetlands and wind turbines made such a beautiful backdrop as the sun slowly slipped towards the horizon.
A perfect way to end another wonderful day in Taichung — just standing still and watching the sky put on its evening show. ❤️✨
With the sunset glowing over Gaomei Wetlands and the windmills turning in the distance, it was quite a spectacular sight. 🌅💨
Nature and renewable energy — what an amazing combination! 💚✨
And look who came out to greet us at Gaomei Wetlands — lots and lots of tiny crabs! 🦀😍
They were scurrying around the mudflats, making the wetlands even more lively. Such a cute little surprise while we were waiting for the sunset! 🌅🌊
So tiny, so many, and absolutely fascinating to watch! 🦀❤️
After waiting patiently, the golden glow finally arrived! The setting sun bathed Gaomei Wetlands in warm, beautiful light, turning the sky into a breathtaking evening canvas.
With the windmills slowly turning and the tiny crabs still scurrying below, it was a magical moment to simply stand back and enjoy. 🧡🌊
What a beautiful way to watch the day come to an end. 🌅❤️
After a beautiful sunset at Gaomei Wetlands, it was time for another important mission — DINNER! 😋
We stopped at Liao Ge Xiao Long Bao, a humble roadside stall serving up steaming hot xiao long bao. 🥟✨ Nothing fancy, just the irresistible sight of freshly made dumplings coming out hot and ready to eat. Roadside food, local flavour and happy tummies — now that's a powerful combination! 😂❤️
Finally, our xiao long bao arrived — steaming hot and ready to be devoured! 🥟🔥 After watching the little inspector doing his rounds, we were more than ready for our turn!
And that dipping sauce… simply scrumptious! 🤤 The perfect little burst of flavour to go with those juicy dumplings.
Hot dumplings + delicious dip = a very happy ending to the day! ❤️🥢
