Hong Kong Trip 2017 Day 1 ~ Park Royal Hotel @ Shatin

Finally, after a long morning of waiting, we were finally able to check into our hotel! We had arrived in Hong Kong much too early in the morning, long before the usual check-in time. After exploring a little, it felt so good to finally have a room to rest and freshen up. What a relief! We could finally put our bags down, relax for a while, and recharge before continuing our Hong Kong adventure.

Hong Kong Trip 2017 Day 1 ~ Ngong Ping Village, Lantau Island / Cable Car Ride

 As we made our way up to the mountains, the scenery became more peaceful and breathtaking, with beautiful views stretching across Lantau Island.

Arriving at Ngong Ping Village felt like stepping into another world. The traditional-style buildings, charming shops, and lively atmosphere made the village such a wonderful place to explore. We wandered around, taking in the sights and enjoying the cool mountain air.

After exploring the beautiful Ngong Ping Village, it was time for another exciting adventure—the cable car ride back down. As we stepped into the cabin, we were greeted by breathtaking views of Lantau Island stretching out before us.

Slowly, the cable car glided above the mountains, giving us a wonderful bird’s-eye view of the lush green landscape, winding roads, and sparkling waters in the distance. Looking back, we could see Ngong Ping Village becoming smaller and smaller as we descended.
