My Pictorial Diary

As picture tells a thousand words, therefore I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Armed with nothing, but a camera,
Take nothing, but pictures,
Capture nothing, but memories,
Leave nothing, but footprints.

Malacca Trip 2016 Day 2 ~ Red Houses of Melaka / Dutch Square / Christ Church Melaka

Soaking in the lovely red houses of Melaka ❤️๐Ÿ  — one of the city’s most charming and instantly recognisable sights! Walking through the historic streets, surrounded by these warm terracotta-red buildings, felt like stepping into a colourful postcard.

The beautiful red walls, white details and old-world architecture create such a unique atmosphere. Everywhere we turned, there was another pretty corner waiting to be photographed, from the historic buildings to the little lanes filled with character.

Red Houses

Another lovely stop on our Melaka adventure — Dutch Square! ❤️ The moment we arrived, we were greeted by the iconic red buildings, historic architecture and the beautiful fountain standing proudly in the heart of the square.

Surrounded by so much history and colour, Dutch Square is such a wonderful place to wander around, take photos and simply soak in the atmosphere. The charming red buildings give the whole area a warm and nostalgic feel, while the fountain adds an extra touch of elegance to this already picturesque spot.

It was a little busy, but that didn’t stop us from enjoying the sights and capturing a few memories along the way.

The Stadthuys

Standing proudly in the heart of Dutch Square, this iconic red-brick church is one of Melaka’s most recognisable landmarks.

We took some time to admire its striking architecture, beautiful white details and historic charm. Built during the Dutch period, Christ Church has stood here for centuries and remains an important part of Melaka’s fascinating heritage.

Surrounded by the famous red buildings, colourful trishaws and the lively atmosphere of Dutch Square, it was impossible not to stop for a few photos. ๐Ÿ“ธ

**P.S. Didn't have the chance to take a look inside the Church as there was a service going on.

And there it was — the famous mousedeer right in the middle of the road! ๐ŸฆŒ❤️ One of those unexpected little sights that instantly made us stop and take notice.

Standing proudly as if it owned the place, this adorable little character has become one of those fun and quirky sights around Melaka that you just have to capture in a photo. It certainly added a playful touch to our sightseeing adventure!
