My Pictorial Diary

As picture tells a thousand words, therefore I'll let the pictures do the talking.

Take nothing, but pictures,
Capture nothing, but memories,
Leave nothing, but footprints.

MalaccaTrip 2016 Day 2 ~ Hoe Kee Chicken Rice Balls 和记鸡饭

After all that exploring, it was definitely time for a yummy lunch! We stopped by Hoe Kee Chicken Rice Ball along Jonker Street, one of Melaka’s well-known spots for the traditional chicken rice balls.

The star of the meal was, of course, those cute little hand-shaped rice balls, served with tender, silky steamed chicken, fragrant sesame oil, soy sauce and a delicious chilli dip. The rice balls are cooked with chicken stock, giving them that comforting savoury flavour that makes them so addictive.

Simple, traditional and absolutely satisfying — just the kind of hearty Melaka lunch we needed before continuing our Jonker Street adventure! 😋🍗🍚

Happy tummies, happy travellers! ❤️
